The customer I am currently working for has 27000 subnets and they would like to import these into their custom geographical locations for UEM.
Unfortunately, we are limited to 10000 entries for performance reason.
Would you know how/if we can bypass this limitation?

Hi Andre,
the custom IP mappings are held in server memory, therefore they are limited to 10000 entries. The GeoIP database format is unknown for us and accessed via an API from the database provider, i.e. we cannot simply replace it.
Does the customer really need one geo location per subnet and isn't it possible to build groups, like Andi suggested?

I am checking with engineering if it is possible to replace the whole GeoIP Database. This seems like the logical step instead of adding 10k+ custom entries on-top of the Geo DB

As the customer mentioned, it is unlikely that there is less than 10 000 entries in the GeoIP database: is there no way we can replace some of the entries in this with some from the customer?

Hi Andre
Limits are typically there for a good reason. So - bypassing them may result in side-effects that you dont want. Is there no option to merge these 27000 into a smaller subset? Assuming the customer has multiple offices in a city I suggest you merge those togehter?
If thats not possible you could give it a try and edit the IP Mappings in the server/conf/ipmappings.xml file rather than using the Import feature through the client. This may work - BUT - remember that you are exceeding limitations here that I am sure have been put in place for a good reason
