Big Data Business Transaction Bridge and Splunk setup

Hi,

We're evaluating whether we should use Splunk with dynaTrace.  And I'm trying to figure out if I have all of the plugins that are needed.

I've read through some of the documentation for Big Data Business Transaction Bridge and Splunk.

Can you anyone confirm my understanding of the setup?

  • The Big Data Business Transaction Bridge plugin needs to be installed.
  • The Splunk Application plugin needs to be installed
  • A URL endpoint is provided to the Big Data Business Transaction Bridge setup to point to where Splunk is installed

Is my understanding correct?  Do I need both or can I use either plugin?

Thanks,

Antoine

I think the flume server is not running. Are you using Windows? I would suggest that you use runFlume.py which is attached in the Splunk Application page.

Hello

I used easyTravel as a demo environment to send data to Splunk.

But I didn't see any data show in Splunk's dashboard.

Is there any config I miss?

  1. set export URL

2. set export results via http

3. Splunk app install

4. no data show in dashboard

5. what config should I do ,the dashboard will show as below?

Also refer to the community page on how to download and configure the Splunk app.

You just need the Splunk App, the bridge functionality is built in.
