that probably depends on your understanding/definition of a major GC (you might want to look at http://apmblog.compuware.com/2011/03/10/major-gcs-separating-myth-from-reality/).
In the process health dashboards you'll see the different memory pools and also the GC activations for these, which works as a reference for "major" and "minor" GC runs. In dynaTrace's default measuresyou will find "Garbage Colelction Young Generation" (minor) and "Garbage Collection Old Generation" (major) which you of course can put on custom dashboards, splitted by Garbage Collector strategy.
