One of my colleagues was working with a Compuware engineer and it was mentioned that there is some kind of notification process that can be implemented regarding purging of historical data? The issue we are troubleshooting is that we have multiple users of the same dynaTrace instance/server. Some are high volume and some are very light volume. We have allocated 500GB to the PurePath session storage and the high volume app causes storage to be limited for the other users. For example, the low volume app used to display 2-3 weeks of PurePath data. Once volume picked up from our high volume app, the low volume app is now only to see a few days of PurePath history. Is there anything that can be done to restrict space to different profiles and 2) is there notification for sys admins regarding the storage limits and/or purging of data?

There are RFEs to fix these. Please vote:

This is something my team has been interested in as well. Though as far as I know there is no way to limit each system profile to a certain amount of storage space. I imagine there is a change request for such a thing.
In the meantime here's one thing you could do to at least monitor the amount of space taken by each:
-Open up the Session Browser Dashlet
-Press Shift CTRL and F9 simultaneously to enter DEBUG mode
Now you can see all of the incoming purepath data. This can give you a rough idea of how much space live data is taking for each system profile and allow you to remove it accordingly.
