dynaTrace Monitoring

Hi!

I have a couple of questions about dynaTrace:

Im running the 5.5 version on a client and they would like to do the following things on dynaTrace:

  1. Monitor a link and filter it by device, connection type and browser?
  2. Does dynaTrace have a report that shows the page size?

Thanks!

Hi Karla

Ad1) Yes - dynaTrace captures the type of the client device + browser version. If you have a particular URL that you want to monitor you can create a Business Transaction that filters on that particular URL. Then you can split by things like Browser Version. If you use UEM (User Experience Management) you can do the same on a so called User Action and then also split by Connection Type.

Ad 2) dynaTrace is able to capture size on each server-side web request. If you look at your PurePaths you can open the Details dialog on e.g: doFilter or ProcesesRequest nodes and you will see the request and response size. If you have UEM you will also see the request & response size for a complete User Action - this can also be seen in the Details Dialog of the Root Node of a User Action PurePath

P.S: I am going to move this question to the dynaTrace Forum as you currently posted this on the general Community Forum
