Question by Michael R. · Dec 03, 2014 at 09:35 PM · web performance monitoring

UEM does not activate / inject Javascript

Hi,

i successfully installed DynaTrace on an Apache httpd and a tomcat. Under Configure UE / Webapplication the "inject javascript" is enabled. Under advanced configuration / User Experience / Default Application the capturing is activated completely.

But i can't see any injection in the webpages. What am i doing wrong?

Michael

Hi Michael,

Can you verify you have User Experience placed and active on the tier (agent group) with your web server mapped? Edit the system profile, expand the web server agent group (lower left, your name may vary), and check both Sensor Placement and Sensor Configuration for the Web Server and User Experience sensors and that they're enabled.

Here is a how-to clip, in case you're new to the interface: http://screencast.com/t/2CRIBtGCIRet

Hope that helps,

Rick B

Hi Richard,

thank you for the reply and yes, i am currently evaluating and am a dau regarding dynatrace.
I checked and saw only, that Browser wasn't acivated on the webserver.

In Sensor Placement are activated: WebServer and UserExperience

Under Sensor Configuration i can see only an entry User Experience, which is activated; but no entry WebServer like in the screencast.

Inside the Tomcat agent the UserExperience is activated either.

Unfortunately i can't sill see the injected dtagent

Michael

So, i just checked the documentation again. It is told, that injection is activated by default and i can see the activation inside the agents. Anybody an idea whats running wrong here?

Hi Michael,

Can you please either attach here or email me your System Profile and I'll double-check your configuration?  To do this, please right click on your system profile click "Export System Profile" and save it locally, then zip it up.

Thanks,

Rick B
