Selenium Dynatrace Integration: Injected timer name not reflecting in Purepath name and in Tagged Webrequest

Selenium Webdriver automation scripts are used to perform a scenario in Internet explorer browser. And mark the transaction with timer name.

While tagging the web request with a timer name and running the scripts in Internet Explorer with Dynatrace browser Agent, the mentioned tags are not getting displayed in Purepath name and in Tagged Webrequest.

Following code was used to insert the timer.

dynaTrace.addTimerName("doValidation");

Got the helper class from the following GIT location:

Hi

Just to verify that the Browser Agent itself works and delivers data to dynatrace - meaning - if you open the Browser Performance Report you see data for the individual URLs that your Selenium Script tested?

Can you also tell us which version of IE and Windows Version you are running this on?

Andi

Hi Andi,

I can see the Performance Report for the individual URLs loaded using Selenium. But the timer name alone which was added in script is not displaying.

Browser: Internet Explorer 11 ; OS: Windows 7

Hi Jagadesh,

The browser timer names don't show up in Tagged Web Requests or as the PurePath names. To see them, open the Browser Performance Report as you did previously and click the "Show User-defined Timers" button in the upper right of the dashlet (it looks like a little clock).

Hope that helps,

Rick B

Thanks Rick it works.

But is there any other way around to see the timers in Tagged Web Requests or as the PurePath names ?

Jagadesh.
