Has anyone else encountered problems with PurePath data being missing since upgrading for v6.3.

We have several business critical applications (Customer Service and Claims Processing) that are no longer collecting PurePath information even though the servers they run on have connected agents. I can see traffic that goes through these servers, just nothing for the business critical applications. We had thought it was corrected when the update for v6.3.3 was installed, then the server DynaTrace is running on was rebooted and information is now missing again. We've also seen an error relating to the Global Agent time being off. I do have an open Support Ticket (SUPDT-21260), but it's been two days now that we're missing information with no resolution as to how to fix this problem. @Andreas Grabner

We've tried changing the 'Timer' setting for the java agents (AIX) and let it run overnight with no changes this morning to what we're seeing in the environment. I'll keep you posted and hopefully we'll have some success in getting this fixed today.

Yes we have a support ticket open as well. Purepath data starts going into "early discarded" category increasingly over time. I recycle the server and get up to 20 hours or so possibly before the early discarded start showing up. I suspect there might be a open file handles or native threads leak going on post-6.3 update.

We are experiencing the same issue in AppMon v7.0.10.1010 and this is in the Prod environment. Any updates on root cause or how to resolve this? We had gone to restart the server but we are still getting return of entirely Early Discarded PurePaths (server)

I'm having this issue too after have upgraded to APMON 7.0.9.. may I know how such a issue was fixed on your side ?

We also encountered this issue. The early discarded pure paths coincided with purepath buffer size increase. Restarting the server did not help. Opened a support ticket and waiting for fix. We are on DT version 6.5.6.1013 .dt-health-2.png

We also have the issue of Early Discarded purepaths, we have a support ticket open, anyone here found solution for this issue? we are in 6.3 base version no patches applied.

We upgraded to 6.3.4 in Production and are seeing heavy PurePath discards. We are clean for only about 30 minutes, then it starts discarding PurePaths. At first it is a few, then it gets worse and worse. By the end of the cycle, it is discarding close to 100% of all PurePaths. It then recovers and the cycle repeats itself.

The picture shows mostly Early Discarded Pure Paths.

We have a support ticket open and have tried a few different things, but no relief yet.

It looks like these are different issues. The support ticket was not about "early discarded" PurePaths it seems.

The issue with "early discarded" PurePaths may be memory-related according to this thread.

We have seen both problems in 6.3 Early Discarded, which usually requires a server recycle to clear it up.

We also have a couple of agents that have just stopped sending PurePath data. We have been working with support and the lab. But now it appears as if the data has started coming again

Something odd is going on. This is our Perf environment, and I'm reluctant to upgrade production to 6.3 until the behavior is understood.

Did you resolve this issue?

I have a customer who is experiencing this problem from time to time as well.

Dynatrace 6.3.3 is running and we need to have a recycle of the dynatrace processes to get monitoring back.

Server Health Reports are showing that up to 100% (it is growing from 0% to 100% within 15 min) of the purepaths are marked as early discarded.
