this method to push dynatrace agent to the azure cloud, Agent starts and runs fine , but seems like Agent doesnt gets installed as a software ( doesnt appear in programs and features) , double clicking the dtagentconf opens the usual dynatrace GUI . this is the folder structure which gets
created in the VM after the cloud deployment
note : "manualy double clicking the dynatrace-agent.msi which is inside the folder that gets created installs dynatrace agent as a Software in the computer "

For AppMon this is normal behavior. The Agent itself IS NOT a windows service. The Agent is simply a DLL that will get loaded into your .NET processes
Besides our support for Azure with Dynatrace AppMon & UEM I also want to point out our new capabilities for Azure with our Dynatrace SaaS / Managed offering that already uses our new Dynatrace OneAgent technology. I recently recorded a youtube tutorial with our MS Technology Lead where he talks about which use cases we support: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFRUiPiCuHw&list=P...

you're basically right with your investigation. In a typical scenario, manually installing the agents using the MSI, they appear as any other software and can be also uninstalled that way. For azure cloud-services, the MSI is used as an archive and just extracted. within the automation powershell scripts. This is the reason why you don't see it within the installed software list.
