We are planning to move our AppMon Server and Collectors from Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 onto Linux 7.3 Platform ( VM) . We have been running on the Windows platform as a POC for a year and the move to Linux is to rollout to a full production spec platform. I understand that both OS' are on little endian and so copying the session store from Windows to Linux should be ok. I also know that I will have to use the migration- tool. However I wanted to check if anyone has done this before and if there are any learnings to be shared. Key consideration is to migrate to new host/platform without any loss of monitoring data.

Be sure to use the migration guide for the task:
Session storage will not be moved by the migration tool, see guide.
If you were running an embedded performance warehouse, you will need to switch to a production one and that will cause loss of monitoring data - as embedded is not supported for production.
