Clean uninstallation/removal of the AppMon agent in preperation for OneAgent

Do you have any information/direction on the correct process for removing the AppMon agent in preparation for the installation of the OneAgent.

We are looking to automate the process for removal against Linux and Windows..

Any help/guidance would be appriciated..

Hey,

Can we do this via a script? We are moving to Dynatrace One, and want to remove our agents from 2000+ VMs (Windows and UNIX). Is it feasible to create a script which does the clean uninstall of AppMon agents.

Would really appreciate if anyone can guide us here.

For windows generaly you have to uninstrument IIS by removilem dynatrace modules from native module tab in IIS Console. You have also remove instrumentation via Dynatrace Agent gui. After this just uninstall binary and you are ready to go.

With linux, or windows technologies not configured by GUI you have to remove agent parameters from JVM, remove agent from init.d and uninstall binary.

After this and restart of each processes you have unmonitored and uninstromented code ready for OneAgent.

Regards
Sebastian

The answer depends a bit on the technology. Perhaps you can describe the technology involved and we can clarify the procedure. Java on Linux? IIS in Windows? Apache on Windows?
