So with docker you get dynamically created hostnames. This is usually fine, if we are talking about 10 - 15 hosts.
However, we have a situation where docker containers are being spawned and respawned as a part of build and dev processes, which creates around 3 - 400 new hosts each day.
One wouldn't think this to be a problem, but it is.
Dynatrace AppMon does not handle over a certain amount of hosts in its infrastructure.config.xml in a good way.
Frontendserver starts to slow down, and dashboards become sluggish.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix / remediate this?
Can the hostnames be semi dynamic?
Can we control it using environment variables, or docker settings?
