Tibco BW monitoring

Hi,

 I installed dynatrace 6.0 trial version and trying to monitor a  TIBCO BW system for which I created a system profile and added the application server - Java and then added the string for java agent in  BW tra file(located in TIBCO installation folder) and restarted the TIBCO and dynatrace services but still the agent is not getting loaded.(Note : Both dynatrace and Tibco are on the same windows machine)

java.extended.properties = -agentpath:"C:\Program Files\dynaTrace\dynaTrace 6.0.0\agent\lib64\dtagent.dll" =name=JAVA_Monitoring,server= localhost:9998

Can you please guide if there are any other steps to be done for the agent to get detected ?

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for posting this after we didnt get that resolved during our webex yesterday. I hope to get some Tibco Experts here on this forum.

In your scenario you launched your TIBCO Administrator as a windows service. Based on the feedback I received from a colleague after we finished our webex it is very likely that there is a different tra file you need to edit. Therefore - please have a look into your installation directories and check which other tra files are floating around.

Hi,

Not sure if this was resolved but this is what we do. When a project is deployed, it clones something called the bwengine.tra thus making a Projectname.tra. Edit the cloned bwengine.tra and when you restart, you will see your changes in the Projectname.tra. You should now be able to connect to DynaTrace.

Thanks,
Todd
