Perl and JavaScript
Our application is written in Perl and JavaScript. In any event, there is no single start-up script. We use nginx as our reverse proxy and we user starman as our psgi server. There is a single entry point for our psgi server.
What is the recommended solution to monitor? Agent? etc?

The next version of dynaTrace - dynaTrace 6.0 (Spring 2014 Release) - comes with support for nginx. That will probably be your best option to get full visibility into your web requests. There is no current nor near future planned support for Perl.
