Can we run a instant test for a inactive script?

Hi,

No you can't The test needs to be active first.

You can however, run an instant test against a single URL (instant test -> backbone utilities). Although I appreciate it is not the same, in that it is not a test with actions and >1 steps. Another workaround which might work, is go into the test and select edit and then playback locally in Chrome since the web recorder is now live there - but still, that is running just off your local computer so might not totally fulfill requirements but does get closer and can be done with inactive tests.

Put the idea forward to the community and product managers here if you would like to see the functionality.
