We have a web site monitored which contains 3rd party integrations like Twitter, Youtube etc.
When waiting for Page Complete, we sometimes get availability alerts because these integrations did not respond. Seeing as these issues do not really affect the basic usage of the site, i.e. it's still functioning for users and there are no immediate actions that should take place because Twitter e.g. didn't respond, we'd like to suppress these alerts. I can see 2 options:
1. Use the Filter action in the script, but that would remove them completely from monitoring
2. Change the wait from Page Complete to DOMready, but as a result these 3rd party metrics are not fully monitored as the measurement stops as soon as the page is in interactive state - right?
Any ideas or best practises on how to handle these? Basically I'm looking for a way to monitor the functionality of these 3rd party components but not alert on them - or is that impossible to achieve?
