I have several Backbone Synthetic scripts and scheduled in Synthetic classic portal, i have integrated these with Dynatrace Environment with a token.
My requirement is i no more need these to be run as external monitors, rather i would like them to be migrated to Dynatrace and run as Synthetics from there. May i know the possible ways and requirements to do these..?
I have specific requirements of specific scripts to be migrated to specific Tenants/Environments of Dynatrace. Could you please help on this..?
Running as external monitors is tough and the reports and dashboards are better in Dynatrace. There is another limitation that we cannot point specific scripts to specific environments/tenants which is another pain we are facing, we are only able to connect one account (that has 10 Backbone scripts) of Synthetic portal to one Environment on Dynatrace. This limits us from playing around with Tenants for various other reasons on Dynatrace.

We are actively working on a way to convert tests from Classic into Dynatrace Synthetic, converting the script, test and test properties. We expect this to be available week of November 12. Stay tuned and I will post an update to this link when available and direct you to a community page with lots of information on test conversion.
Hello @mark e., Is there any news about this Classic Synthetic to Dynatrace Synthetic test conversion? Is this already available?

Quick update for everyone interested in this topic...sorry for the delays, but a conversion feature will be available next week. Conversion is only available if you have a Dynatrace account linked to your Classic account. If you don't have this you can contact your CSM to get setup...otherwise follow the instructions here (will open in new tab) to request that the Explore Dynatrace feature is setup, then we can enable you for the test conversion.

The Test Conversion capability is now available. As stated above, you need to have gone through the Explore Dynatrace workflow to create a new tenant or link to one. If you have done this and still do not see Test Conversion, please open a support ticket and we will get you up and running.
