No data in the current context

Dear All,

Whenever we select an absolute time of a report, on the top of the report a message appears for example "No data in the current context until 9/20/2019 00:00, but the preset reports do not have this issue.

How to look into this situation?

The report uses resolution week it means that it is done from daily trends. You probably have 31 days of data in those trends. You should switch resolution to month. Then report will be served from monthly trends.

Do not change storage period. Change resolution on the report.

The following message appeared on the report after selecting the date from 01 Sep 2019 to 30 Sep 2019 with the monthly aggregation.

The specified range is not compatible with the selected resolution. The report is generated from monthly aggregate values, therefore the range must be a multiple of whole months.


The following message with the weekly and daily aggregation.

No data in the current context until 9/25/2019 00:00.

According to your configuration you can get data from last 31 days in resolution day or week. Or you can get data from full last 36 months with resolution month. Range 1/9 to 30/9 means that the range is till 00:00 30/9 (begin of day). It is not whole month. Please select 1/9 - 1/10 with resolution month.

Worked very well with the selection of 1/9 - 1/10 monthly aggregation, but with the same selection daily and weekly still shows the following message:

No data in the current context until 9/26/2019 00:00.

Yes, that's because you have only 31 days of data with the resolution daily or weekly. If you select the range 9/28/2019 to 10/29/2019 with resolution daily or weekly - the data will show. But you can't go further back more than 31 days if you want to have the resolution daily or weekly. For an earlier time range you have to select a time range which is a multiple of whole month and the monthly resolution.

Thank you for more clarification.

One last thing to know that the selection from 1/9 to 1/10 also makes 31 days then why the daily and weekly data does not show?

It is in fact 31 days, but you can't choose just any 31 days. It is the last 31 days that you have stored and you can only do a daily/weekly report from these 31 last days.

What version of server do you use? Please send us the report definition. We would like to check what data views are used in the report.
