Question by Adrian C. · May 18, 2017 at 09:51 AM ·

BSM Email configuration

Hi,

we use BSM dashboard 12.0.0..

We have email setup so that if any of out connection polling exceeds 180000 ms (3 minutes), an email is sent out to a list of users.

Some of these users have since left.

Where can I change the list of users so that it is sent to the correct people ?

Also, how do I increase the poll time from 180000 ms ?

Thanks

If your notification is configured through BSM client notifications, go to Event management->Notifications->people

Check Policy,Notifications and Role to see how the notification is configured.

If you have other custom mail or script adaptors, please check the adaptor's configuration.

couldn't find anything in client notifications or script adaptors that pertains to the email recipients, the subject title or the message body.

I have found a "ConnectionManager.xml" which contains the line "var maxDuration - 180000; " This would appear the line to change to increase the polling window. In terms of the email configuration, there is a file called "Script_MessageTranslator.xml "which contains the email properties e.g. the To / From /Message body. Both files are in "Business Service Manager 12.0 \ vsm\ config" folder

Have you modified those files? Did it work?

If you have not modified it yet, we can take a look at your configuration and resolve it.
