I'm using CAS 12.3.2 to receive ESM alerts, I want to be alerted if a transaction failed. I tried two filter metric:
1. Failed transaction > or = 1
2. Availability (total) < 70%
Anyone know the "Availability (total)" is focusing on an application name or transaction name? The applications and transactions are running on multiple robots at different locations, will that "Availability (total)" calculate by overall locations or individual location?
Many thanks for any comments.

Very good question and I highly, highly recommend you test your alerts to dial them before using in production as it is not very clear. My testing has found that Availability is based on transaction if...: Enterprise Synthetic and sequence is the Alert type, Select the Monitored dimensions of the data you want included in your email (at least transaction needs to be selected) and Dimension filters needs to include "Transaction source" with "Transactions (Active Monitoring). Transactions (Active Monitoring) is NOT set by default so check it. Under this circumstance it will calculate by overall locations for the "monitoring time range" you select.
We are still trying to dial ours in...
