What is the difference between VMWare vCenter Realize and Dynatrace?

We are currently testing Dynatrace SaaS; our server environments utilize VMWare virtual hosts and VDI's. One support group uses VMWare vCenter Realize and another group uses Dynatrace AppMon and DCRum. I like the full integration into one tool like Dynatrace SaaS. The group which uses the VMWare tool reports back that the UI and functionality is more advanced.

Hi William,

First of
all let me link another answer we provided for a similar question from you
here.

The Dynatrace
integration with VMware provides ingestion of multiple metrics from either
vCenter or ESXi APIs. We are not aiming to duplicate the VMware Realize UI
neither the set of data presented there. We have deliberately chosen a subset
of information available, that we can feed to Dynatrace AI for problem
causation.

I would
agree that Realize is a better management tool for VMware, while the purpose of
Dynatrace is different. We are gathering data from various sources (applications,
VMs, VMware APIs) to rootcause performance issues in your environment.

Best
regards
