How to stop alert on agents that are no longer connected

We had a situation were agents were restarting to quickly thus making dynatrace think the agent was still connected. So, when the agent started up again it was added as a new agent with the index parameter [1]. I have since implemented the dynatrace.ini entry that stops the indexing, but I am getting alerts on the missing agents that had indexes in the name. How do I make dynatrace stop looking for theses agents?

Are you saying that you have that debug flag in place and are no longer seeing indexed agent names and that the incidents are from before you had that in place? Or are you still seeing indexed agent names?

do not seem to be seeing indexed agent any longer, but getting alerts that they are not connected after they restart and the index is not longer present...ex; agent_name[1] is not connected because it restarted and has jus the name agent name now

I don't think you'll be able to avoid those since when they come back online after the change they won't have the index. After they've cycled out and all have been restarted and gotten their non-indexed name you should be all set with those and not see it again.
