What source is used for IP address mapping and how to fix incorrect mappings?

The map on the Dynatrace portal is showing that my users are visiting from Italy. However, the IP address that the users are coming from is registered to The Netherlands according to some of the main geo location providers (IP2Location, ipinfo.io, DB-IP, EurekAPI). I don't think that a custom mapping, like I do for the internal used IP addresses, is a solution for public IP addresses. Is there a way to fix it?

You can overwrite the mapping of Dynatrace in the same way you enter internal IP addresses. Dynatrace is using MaxMind for geo location mappings. You can also use their demo page to make a check yourself: https://www.maxmind.com/en/geoip-demo
If it is resolved also wrong at this page, you can either report it own your own to Maxmind or create a support ticket for us. If the IP address is resolved correct at the Maxmind demo page, please create in any way a support ticket. Then we need to check as normally we should be in sync with Maxmind.

Thanks Alexander, that is what I was looking for. This IP address is showing correct on maxmind.com, but different in Dynatrace. I will raise a support ticket!
