Memory dump storage across multiple ActiveGates

Does anyone know what is the current behavior (1.165) when there are multiple AG's per environment which are all configured for memdump storage and reachable from all OneAgents in the environment?

In particular:

  • Which AG is chosen for memdump storage?
  • Is there some load balancing/failover happening? For example if dump storage is full on one AG will the OneAgent skip it and choose another AG for uploading its memdump?

Hey Enrico,

I have the question at the moment, have you found out how to know which Memory Dump is chosen by which AG.

Kind regards,

In general if there are multiple memory dump AG, I think picked will be the one that has connectivity with agent. If you have multiple ones which are accessable by the same set of agents, picked should be the one that is responsible for transfering data from particular Agent. This is my understanding of how it works, but I've never checked it. In our cases we had multiple AG (one per each DMZ), and dumps are stored only from agents in the same zone (because of network rules).
