Hello,

Is custom event not a better name than custom alert? Or is this used because it is not part of the anomaly detection?

Yes it is. In the upcoming version we changed that to the name 'Custom event for alerting'. The initial term 'alert' was primarily chosen because we wanted the user to find the alerting settings section.
