Hello,

Customer claims that his application monitored by Dynatrace consumes more resources, especially memory, when using the 12 version.

Can anybody confirm above, and are there any benchmarks?

If above is correct is there anyway to limit this consumption, e.g. can we play with the sensors (-;

Have you seen this help page? https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/setup-and-configuration/dynatrace-oneagent/requirements/memor...

Memory usage depends on many factors for example number of captured purepaths (especially if the limit has been increased) and also on oneagent features.

Hi Julius, Just red the page, fyi the process I am looking at increases from approx 5 GB to more then 7 GB when using the agent.

Thx for your reply

Definitely instrumented application may have an impact on process memory size. First I'd check the agent logs and then compare the same process with oneagent and without oneagent. If you are encountering 2GB increase when Oneagent is loaded compared to an uninstrumented process, I'd highly recommend raising a support ticket.
