User Rights to Trigger the Dumps

Dear All,

Do we have a way to allow a user or group to trigger the dumps only permissions similar to AppMon?

Regards,

Babar

As far I know the memory dump permission is tied up on "Configure capture of sensitive data" role and there is no separate permission for dumps only.

Hello @Janne O.

According to the documentation:

  • Configure request capture data (upcoming feature). Allows configuration of request-data capture rules. These can be used to capture elements such as HTTP headers or Post parameters for storage, filtering, and search.
  • View sensitive request data. Allows viewing of potentially personal data. Users that don't have this permission see that the data point exists but the personal data is masked out with *****.

Which one of the above option you are referring to?

Which one is checked and verified by you for the same purpose?

Regards,

Babar

Hi Babar,

I refer to this: Configure request capture data and there is few pages where Dynatrace mentions that the memory dump permission is tied on this one.

Hello @Janne O.

Thank you for sharing the referenced links.

On the selection of Configure request capture data, the Change monitoring settings automatically selects.

Hello @Janne O.

Let me update here that we need only the View sensitive request data for the memory dumps, and selection of this role does not the Change monitoring settings.

Babar

@Babar Q.

Thank you for the update and seems that I was wrong about the needed permission.

Janne
