Virtual IP address and RoundRobin for Cluster ActiveGate

Khalil
Frequent Guest

Hello,

we just start the installation of Managed cluster in our environment.

Now we try to install a cluster ActiveGate to handle all OneAgent traffic, and we will use it for real user monitoring too.

We have a Managed cluster with virtual ip address using RoundRobin, and also for the ActiveGate cluster we will use a virtual ip address and RoundRobin in the load balancer.

Is this a good approch?

If yes what is the port that I should open from cluster ActiveGate to Managed cluster.

and the port the open for the agent.

thank you

Hi Khali,

The balance dyantrace cluster is managed por the Nginx: https://docs.dynatrace.com/managed/managed-cluster/configuration/set-up-load-balancer

A Dynatrace Managed cluster includes NGINX, an all-in-one, open-source, high-performance HTTP server and reverse proxy. NGINX, which is installed on each cluster node, performs load balancing and routing of traffic between nodes. NGINX is configured specifically to perform the following tasks:

the cluster activegate communicate with the port 443 of dynatrace cluster:
