High normalized system load on AIX servers after upgrade (Managed)

After upgrading Dynatrace agents, a new alert triggered for High Normalized System Load. Can we get an explanation of High Normalized System Load? When setting based on custom settings Dynatrace mentions Alert if the System Load divided by the number of logical CPU cores is higher than this threshold for the defined amount of samples. But what is the threshold? I can only set samples. Thanks for your time.

Hi @matthew_k ,

the threshold value goes in the first field when defining the custom settings.

The other fields define when the alert is triggered (the amount of samples)

OOTB e.g. after 180seconds, and for dealerting after 240seconds

@matthew_k wee are a heavy AIX users and this particular setting will actually indicate that your LPAR  CPU’s are saturated and queuing is happening which can trigger performance problems. This update was a very much waiting feature for us, and our APM team has been using this calculations for performance validations for very long time.
