Hi guys,

Customer connect F5 extension to 3 F5

The 1st one connected OK

The 2nd show this error every hour

Failed to assign monitoring configuration to ActiveGate. Reason: DEVICE_CONNECTION_ERROR:Status DEVICE_CONNECTION_ERROR (38) returned from 1 agents (XXX. XXX. XXX. XXX: Agent(XXX. XXX. XXX. XXX): GetBulk timout args: 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 : request timeout (after 3 retries) [status code=38]);

We know that the communication on port 160 is open.

How can we check what is the blocking the communication?

The 3rd   show this error every hour

Failed to assign monitoring configuration to ActiveGate. Reason: GENERIC_ERROR:Status GENERIC_ERROR (27) returned from 1 agents (XXX. XXX. XXX. XXX: Agent(XXX. XXX. XXX. XXX): GetBulk returned an error: wrong digest [status code=27]);

Can any one help and explain what is the issue here ?

BTW, Where can we find explanations to all the extension errors ?

Thanks in advance for your inputs

Hi @Yosi_Neuman

Even I am facing this exact error:

Failed to assign monitoring configuration to ActiveGate. Reason: DEVICE_CONNECTION_ERROR:Status DEVICE_CONNECTION_ERROR (38) returned from 1 agents (XXX. XXX. XXX. XXX: Agent(XXX. XXX. XXX. XXX): GetBulk timout args: 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 : request timeout (after 3 retries) [status code=38]);

Did you get any solution or clue how to troubleshoot this please...

Hi @jagadeeshkuchi

Customer checked again the FW rules and F5 rules to allow connectivity from the AG to the F5 machine on one hand and on the other hand retype both passwords and the errors were vanished.
