Hi,

For the new Chromium-based Edge, you can add Chrome extensions including the Dynatrace Recorder. We're currently doing that with one customer, where there were certain policy/security related issues with adding it to Chrome. The recorder works flawlessly on the Edge browser.

Hi Wai Keat,

As Kalle indicated, the Microsoft Edge Chromium based browser should work too.

The real question should be, when will the Synthetic monitors run on different browsers? Because currently the execution of the monitors takes place on specific versions of Chromium on either Windows or Linux.

Only once the monitors support other browsers like Firefox or Safari, would it make sense to add a recorder for those; since what you are trying to do with the recorder is setup the monitor for how it will execute later.

If you have any specific browsers in mind, please detail this on a product suggestion topic (RFE) in the Product Ideas forum.

Regards,
Andrew M.
