Change OA log directory size

g_kat
Helper

Hi,

In the documentation  it mentions:

Optimal OneAgent disk usage is determined based on the following limits:

  • The minimum required space is 200 MB * 3 = 600 MB (logs, alerts, crash reports).

  • The default required space is 1 GB * 3 = 3 GB (logs, alerts, crash reports).

From this I deduce that this space is configurable to increase or decrease the directory size for each(logs, alerts, crash reports). I couldn't find any parameter besides LOG_PATH and DATA_STORAGE, which both do something different though.

Regards,

George

Hi @g_kat

You have no other parameters available to adjust how much space to allocate. You can only manage the space available in the corresponding file systems from the OS, or use the parameters to designate another place for OA to store data.

Here you have everything :
https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/oneagent-disk-requirements-windows#full-stack-and-infrastr...

https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/setup-and-configuration/dynatrace-oneagent/installation-and-operatio...

Have a nice day!

Hi @radek_jasinski

So are these soft limits, if I can allocate less than 1GB space on the OS level? I suppose that as long I don't allocate less than the minimum 200MB the OA wouldn't complain, right?

Regards,

George

If you do not allocate less than required in the documentation then there is no problem.

Have a nice day!
